Update — I did have one morning in the beginning of May that had the perfect light, so I witnessed it from my apartment because it was in the beginning of my sleep catch-up mode and I was sooooooooooo tired. Further, on all the days I set my alarm for it — of course it did not rain prior to 7am. I will probably attempt this every year now just for fun.
The NY Times had a fun little travel article about Delft, where the visiting author specified the exact time in Vermeer’s View of Delft painting was 7:12(am). Pic below is a screenshot of said clock from Essentialvermeer.com.
That does give me more guidance as to the lighting in the part of the tunnel that has been slated for a sloping landscape.
This is a self-created slideshow study (for the previous Lucy Nouveau project) regarding lighting which is going to be revisited this morning with a cup of tea and freshly baked deliciousness just popping out of the mini oven. It may be wise to go see the view myself, one of these days at 7:12am. *Life Goals*
The entire tunnel is now a vision in my head which is going to be painted with much gusto. Enjoy your day!
Thanks for reading my blog.
